Hi! My name is Marina Albuquerque de Magalhães Gomes. I live in Toronto, Canada but I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. |
I lived in Rio most of my life. There I worked as an English and Portuguese teacher and as a flight attendant for Lufthansa.
In 1995, I spent 6 months in Sydney, Australia. Lovely place - very multicultural - which gives its inhabitants a special flavor and a lot of flexibility.
In 1996, I met my husband when I attended an Eckankar Seminar in Canada.
Now I teach Portuguese as a second language privately at home and at the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto, besides doing translations from English into Portuguese and Portuguese into English.
