--Multimedia - Movies & Television--

Without a doubt, Frances Farmer has been and always will be my favorite actress. Though it's been said her finest work was in the Theatre and she despised Hollywood, ironically it is through her films that allow us to best remember her.

Beauty

Below are audio clips from some of her movies and television appearances recorded in RealAudio format, unless noted. Her voice is as distinctive as her beauty. Also featured are video clips in Indeo compressed Avi format, best viewed with the current Windows media player. If you don't have it, get it here. Depending on your brower's plugins, you may need to first save the files to disk before playing.

Movies

Badlands of Dakota with Hugh Herbert

Webmaster note:

This classic western takes place in Deadwood, South Dakota and features Frances Farmer joined by an all-star cast including (a very young) Robert Stack, Broderick Crawford, Andy Devine and Lon Chaney Jr. What can be better than watching a film with characters like Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane and General Custer? A must see for Frances fans!
