Frances Farmer, former motion picture actress, yesterday afternoon was taken by deputy sheriffs to King County Hospital, where she will be confined pending a sanity hearing, probably to be held next Monday.
The move followed filing of another insanity complaint against the blonde actress by her mother, Mrs. Lillian V. Farmer, 2636 47th Ave. S.W.
The complaint, asserting the young woman is not safe to be at large, was filed with County Clerk Norman R. Riddell. In the charge she is identified as Mrs. F. E. Anderson, her married name.
Miss Farmer was committed to the Western State Hospital at Steilacoom in March, 1944, and released July 28, 1944, her health pronounced "greatly improved."
After several months spent in recuperating on a Nevada ranch she disappeared mysteriously and was found several days later in Reno.
She returned to Seattle recently and had been living at her mother’s home, still planning a movie comeback. Her father, E. M. Farmer, is a Seattle lawyer.
