Miss Frances Farmer, 21-year-old former University of Washington dramatics student, who was named today by the Paramount Studio as one of seven girls who are possible screen stars of the future. Last April she made a trip to Russia, over the protests of her mother, receiving her expenses as a prize in a periodical subscription contest. This picture was taken as she sailed from New York. The six other girls named are Jane Rhodes, Betty Burgess, Eleanor Whitney, Olympe Bradna, Rosalind Keith and Marsha Hunt.
