Mother Owl
MOONSHADOWS: Caves of Red, page 2

You stare at Tambiri looking for any hint of deceit in her seven-year-old face.

"Are you sure?" you ask. "Mother told me to make the cookfire and wait. She didn't say anything about needing water."

"She told me!" your sister says. "'Go past the pulling beasts to the stream, then upstream to make sure the water is clean.'"

Thrusting the bucket towards you, Tambiri adds, "And she said you have to get the water. I can watch the fire."
