St. Louis Picnic at Tower Grove Park

On May 1, 1999, eight members of the Midwest Lesbians list met in Tower Grove Park in St. Louis for the first time. We grilled, ate, laughed, took pictures, and got to know faces to go with the names we see on list submissions. We found out why Lisa is Missouri's Official Dyke (look at her car!). After a few hours, we cleaned up the area and most of followed Lisa to her next stop, Clementine's, for a St. Louis Pride fundraiser. Four of us went to dinner and to Novak's that evening to end a wonderful day filled with new friends.
