My Daughter Shanna

Shanna was Murdered by her estranged boyfriend. They had been going together on and off for 2 years. He has a Control Personality. I purposely used the present tense because He is still alive. While they were dating Shanna had to carry a pager at all times when she wasn't with him, and had to call him immediatly when he paged her. They had a rocky relationship to say the least. When she finally broke up with him he had bought her an engagement ring, but she wouldn't see him. She had moved back with her Father. Being unable to corner her alone he followed her to work. As she got out of her car in the parking lot of her employer he shot her in the head, heart, neck, and arms with a semi automatic gun. He then attempted to kill himself. He Lived.

My baby was a beautiful young lady cut down in the prime of her young life because she was involved with a young man who felt he needed to control her, to monitor her every movement, to be the only one she should relate to.

Please if you are reading this and are in the same type of relationship, Get Out, but Get Help to do it. There is only sorrow for the persons involved with this type of relationship

I have lived three years with an ache in my heart for my beautiful Daughter. The years do not take away the Pain, the sorrow nor the emptiness that I feel. I know that Shanna is with God and I know she is no longer in fear, but that still does not help, for it wasn't an accident, nor an illness that took her from me but a planned act of violence.

Heaven help me I do not believe that I can be forgiving.
