1½
dl
sweet almonds
1½ dl icing sugar ½-1 egg white (Food Color) (Dark Chocolate) 1. Put the almonds in a pot and cover them with water. Bring to a boil. Peel off the skins of the almonds. Grind them once or twice through an almond grinder. 2. Put the ground almonds in a bowl. Gradually add the sugar and the slightly whipped egg-white while stirring. The texture of the marzipan depends on how much egg-white you put in it. You want it dough-like. 3. You now have white marzipan. You can easily color it with food color to make your figures more interesting. Make different kinds of figures or forms out of the marzipan. 4. Melt the chocolate and dip the marzipan figures into it, partially or totally. This isn't necessary, but marzipan dipped in chocholate is absolutely divine. 5. Refrigerate in an air-tight container. This is my favourite type of candy for Christmas. |
