3 eggs
9 dl milk 5 dl flour ½ tsp salt 1½ tsp sugar Butter for the frying Jams, whipping cream, ice-cream, cinnamon, and/or syrup to eat with it. 1.) Whip the eggs and 5 dl of the milk together. 2.) Stir down the flour and mix until you have a smooth mixture. 3.) Add the rest of the milk, the sugar, and the salt. 4.) Melt some butter in a large frying pan (preferably one with low sides) and add to the mixture. This will decrease the total amount of fat needed for the frying. 5.) Pour the mixture into the pan with help of a soup spoon. Cover the bottom of the pan with a thin layer. 6.) When there is no more wet mixture on the pancake's top, flip it over and fry the other side. 7.) When you have fried all the pancakes, serve them. a) Spread on pancake out on the plate. b) Cover with some jam and some cream. c) Roll into a tube and cut off pieces to eat. 8.) This dish is traditionally eaten on Thursdays, together with (after) Yellow Pea Soup . |
