The existence of God

One of the best arguments I have ever heard for the existence of God was made by St. Thomas Aquinas. Now, I am very much a "math/science" person, meaning everything has to make sense, so this argument was perfect for me. It was in comparison to Newton’s First Law of Motion, inertia. This law states that objects at rest stay at rest and objects in motion stay in motion, unless acted upon by an outside force. If this is a proven "law," then why can I move my hand freely or grow taller without any outside force? Therefore, God must exist if all living things move freely.
