Hobbies

Hmmm...let's see.What are my hobbies? Well I really like reading fantasty and science fiction books. I've always been a bookworm. Ray is surprised at just how fast I absorb material when reading.

I dabble in sewing clothes for myself...nothing to hard usually. I've only done a lined dress once for a friend's engagement present.

I also enjoy craftwork; painting, rug making, working with clay, cross stitching, etc. It is so relaxing to sit down with your work in front of the TV and just listen to is as your work gradually take shape in your hands.

In the last year I have completed in cross stitch an eagle, dragon (which I gave to Ray for Christmas), an Apache wedding blessing and latch hook rug with an African Elephant on it. My current work is a Tiger which I bought Raymond for Christmas 1999. I started it, but haven't done any since the start of January. Guess I better get back into it, so I finish it by his birthday in May!

Eventually I'd like to get a computer program that lets you design and print up your own patterns, and sell my own through our small business, SavRay Enterprises Pty Ltd.  But the programs cost a lot, and come from overseas. Would be nice to find a place in Australia that sells them!
