THE PESEPHONE ASPECT OF THE TRIPLE GODDESS
Persephone is the grain goddess and the goddess of the dead. Persephone was so beautiful that when the god of the underworld saw her he couldn't resist taking her as his wife and he kidnapped her. Her mother Demeter, after discovering what had happened searched the underworld for her missing daughter. After much searching and no luck she appealed to Zeus to intervene. Persephone's new husband argued to keep his new wife that he was madly in love with. Zeus concluded that Persephone was to spend half the year in the underworld and half the year with Demeter. T
