Sahmain is the celebration of the end of summer.It is also the Celtic Druid New Year,It is the most important sabbbat and most well known outside of pagan circles.It ihas a three part festival.  1.  End of the harvest. 2.  Placating animal spirits that we have eaten this past year.  3.  Honoring our ancestors and accepting our mortality.
