3rd through 5th Grade Team
2006-2007
Imagine 7 kids were given a project to complete in an 8 week period, without any help from the outside of the team.  The West Grove Elementary School team has  met EVERY week since December to learn the skills necessary to work together as a team, solve problems as a team, and finally to create a final project which was presented at a Regional Competition at Fishers High School on March 4th, 2007.

"Round About Courage" required the team to create and present a story of a Heroic Adventure that includes a personal challenge for the Hero to overcome.  The presentation was done in the style of "Theatre in the Round," and included a technical set piece that brought their story to life.  This challenge was presented without the use of electricity, and the set pieces were carefully placed to be seen by an audience that surrounded a stage.

The Elementary Team also had to perform an "Instant Challenge," which they had to work as a team to solve in a short period of time.

The kids found dead vines to use for decorating their technical piece which was to be set in the forest.
1,2,3... GO!  The team enters the competition room at the Regional Competition.  They were given 8 minutes to perform their skit.
As the challenge moves forward, our troll finds her reflection in a pond and decides she needs a 'fashion change.'
