		MONDAY - Started off the day down at the Pier to see the memorial day celebrations with lots of pot bellied war veterans singing and waving their star spangled banners whilst stood on a WW2 Submarine. We then joined the millions of other tourists down at fisherman's wharf. We had some giant strawberries - Nicki saw a film opportunity - Revenge of the Mutant Strawberries! We dipped them in chocolate sauce - decadent or what! We had a great lunch over looking the bay, and Nicki showed Leonie how to suck the legs of a lobster - she wasn't impressed - in fact she was quite disgusted! Leonie stuck to the more sedate salmon and wild rice! After lunch, we had to walk our excess off, and in fact walked for a few miles into the financial district. There is quite a lot of impressive architecture - and its all earthquake proof - we hope! The highlight of the day - acording to Nicki anyway - was going to see STAR WARS - It is an amazing film - so much so that Leonie fell asleep!! She must have left her anorak at home. But the best thing is - we've seen it six weeks before all you brits back home - ner!!!! We ended the night with a couple of pints of Caffreys over at the Irish Bar, then a few cocktails in the Hotel Bar. Sorry there is no mention of shopping and make-up yet - we are off do do that now!
