Update March 2001 |
In October, we discovered that the chemo was not working so we had to switch to a more potent drug. I began taking chemotherapy once a week in six week cycles. After the first cycle, I experienced a miracle healing in my lungs...my oncologist was shocked and amazed to see that the tumors in my lungs are shrinking so fast (God is sooooo good) As I write this i am in my thrid cycle and will be tested again at the end of March. I promise to update my site with the good news i get then!!!!! |

Update August 2000 |

During my wonderful summer vacation, I went in for a checkup which included a chest x-ray. That came back as abnormal, and a CT Scan was ordered. This showed spots on my lungs and I was sent to a Pulmanary Specialist. He wanted to do surgery and I balked and went to the Mayo Clinic for another opinion. While at Mayo, they pulled fluid from my lung and determined that it was cancer. The diagnosis is Breast Cancer of the lung.
I started chemo on 9 August 2000. I am on three week cycles of CMF so I should have minimal hair loss. *fingers crossed*
Regardless of what happens, Jesus is still on the throne. I am more convinced than ever that God has a spectacular plan for my life...and the enemy is pretty ticked at that (good!) I am more determined than ever to tell EVERYONE about the goodness of my God.
