Welcome to ZENZELE'S Kitchen Table

When I was a little girl, my favourite relative was "Aunt Helen." She and my Uncle Robert would come and visit every summer. I got to stay up late when Aunt Helen would gather all the women in the house to join her at the kitchen table. With a huge bag of Lay's potato chips, a six-pack of beer, wine - and kool-aid for me - we would sit and chit and chat,

and solve all our problems, and the problems of some other sistas who weren't even there.
I learned that the kitchen table was a healing balm for African women. Over the years, I have sat at many kitchen tables with my sistas and received the blessing of their no-nonsense wit, guidance, and support. So, now I invite you to mine to do the same.

COME.

I HAVE PREPARED A PLACE FOR YOU.
