SSN Festival
 Representatives from Grand Rapids Women's Chorus  talked with their board  chair and their director about the proposed SSN festival for 2001. They  have a board meeting planned for this Thursday to formally approve the  proposed co-sponsorship of the festival with Sistrum. Sistrum's  representative will also be confirming her chorus's planned co-sponsorship.

 Communications
We are putting together a mailing/email that will contain information about
 the planned SSN festival, the call for membership dues and chorus  information of various kinds, and a request for responses.  We propose that women post SSN-related info with 'SSN' at the beginning of  the subject line to identify the thread, when we post information to the choruswomen elist.

Meetings
We tentatively scheduled an SSN festival planning meeting for April 8-9,  2000, in Grand Rapids, MI.  We'd like to have two events in San Jose during the GALA conference in July  2000: an information sharing and festival planning update meeting for SSN  members and, separately, a social gathering, cohosted by SSN and GALA, for  women members of either.
