On this page and those to follow you will find my story. Since this is a personal web page that seems only fair, does it not? I will tell you about the things in life that have provided me with great joy and sometimes great pain. But isn't that what life is about? A series of learning experiences that help us to become the best that we can be. Sometimes, those experiences are pleasant but many times they are not. We have all had both varieties. As human beings, we all make mistakes.........and I have made my share. But if we don't learn from them and we keep making the same mistakes over and over again we rob ourselves of true happiness. Our happiness is up to us...no one else can MAKE us happy. We must rely on the one person that we can control.........ourselves. And we must never forget that there is a greater being in control of us all and when life gets to be to much to bear, if we give it all up to him things all fall gradually into place. It took me forty years to figure that one out and I hope it hasn't or it won't take you that long. I will share with you my belief that all things are possible if we only believe and persevere. I know from experience the value of perseverence. and what happens if we give up. If you choose not to read the unpleasant stories that may appear on these pages, please feel free to pass by them and check out the others. You will not hurt my feelings any. Sad things are often the reality of life and they occur for all of us but so do happy things and there will be plenty of that on these pages also.
I plan to include information on myself and my family including pictures. I have 5 wonderful children of whom I am very proud......even tho they have given me a gray hair or two along the way. I will include my favorite places on the web, my Genealogy information, the story of my adoption and the trials and tribulations of finding my birth family, my passion for the Irish people - their country - their history - their zest for life even in the face of adversity - their music - thier stories - their laughter and the never ending beautiful green of the Emerald Isle. My love of all things Victorian, .my collection of Angels, and Attic Treasures by Ty, and the porcelain doll collection I'd like to begin.
So, sit on down and let's begin. I will start with an introduction to my greatest accomplishment........those being my five children. |
