To My Irish Page !
There's a magical place known as Erin
Where everything's lovely and green.
Where castles and cottages cover the hills
With a beauty like you've never seen.
Where faeries and leprechauns frolic,
And search every rainbow for gold.
Where blarney and music bring laughter,
And wonderful stories are told.
There are blessings and smiles to greet you
Wherever you happen to roam.
And as much luck and joy as the shamrocks that grow
In this land that the Irish call..."HOME" !
There are only two kinds of people in the world.
THE IRISH
...and those who would like to be Irish!
.........and I guess I fall into the latter catagory, because I know......there is not an Irish bone in my body. I have however embraced the Irish culture and therefore consider myself as Irish as any true Irishman.
This page is dedicated to the Irish people.
May God Bless them all for their perseverance and tenacity in the face of adversity.
I would also like to dedicate this page to a very special Irish gentleman who has been the best friend any person could hope for. He kicked my Scandinavian butt when it needed to be kicked and was ready and waiting with kind words, viirtual hugs and unending reasons for smiles and laughter, when I was feeling down. You know who you are my friend..........thank you so much for everything you've done for me and all the times you've just "been" there.
I will never forget you!
On this page you will find.....Irish music, stories and poetry, pictures, limericks and links to some of the finest Irish spots on the net. And this will always be under construction so keep stoping back to see what's new.
IRISH BLESSINGS
May there always be work for your hands to do.
May your purse always hold a coin or two.
May the sun always shine on your windowpane.
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend alway be near you
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
As you slide down the bannister of life...
May the splinters never point the wrong way.
Hills as green as emeralds,
Cover the countryside.
Lakes as blue as sapphires,
And Ireland's special pride.
.Rivers that shine like silver,
Make Ireland look so fair.
But the friendliness of her people,
Is the richest treasure there.
May the saddest day of your future
Be no worse.....
Than the happiest day of your past.
God grant me a sense of humor, Lord,
The saving grace to see a joke.
To win some happiness from life,
and pass it on to other folk.
May you live as long as you want,
and never want as long as you live.
More to come.................please be patient.and check back again.
