Phobos and Deimos are very old. A lot of scientists believe that they came into being at the same time as Mars itself. However the most widely accepted view is that they were wondering asteroids captured by Mars’s gravitational field as they flew close by.

American and Russian scientists have discovered that Mars’s gravity brings Phobos closer to the planet’s surface. Scientists believe that Phobos will crash into Mars in about 100 million years.

Have Mars been always like that? In an ice age? Most scientists don’t think so. Evidence says, that many years ago, Mars had a climate similar to ours. If so, is there a possibility of life on Mars???
