Never Forget Never thought I'd see planes fly the way they did that day; conversions from glow to gray, to blackness tumbling into silence, and you were taken away. Never thought hate would breathe such fire as evil's intent threw stone and steel, when metal melted and inky ash fell, and smoke lifted from masses of horror, from places where life ended too abruptly. We wanted to reach out and help, but couldn't, they said never forget, we can't. You are all missed, loved, and will always be remembered. Patricia Treharne 2002 |
As the day September 11, 2002 arrives. We will always remember those lives taken from us. If they were a friend, family member, a spouse, a co worker, a stranger, or many of the Heroes that came that day to do their job with their heads held proud........you all will never be forgotten, but always remembered ! Your job is still not done for now you all have to watch over the rest of us and protect us from all those that took you from us all ! Where ever we go, we will always know that we all will have some Angels looking over us, but also over this world protecting us as a Band Of Angels ! This is my tribute as I remember the day September 11, 2001, that I want to share with the world, and with the help of others send this to as many as we can to help them also remember and never forget ! |
We Shall Live On Tonight we look to this day, although tragic, with pride. As tears fill our eyes for the souls who have died. We'll never forget these times in our lives History books will be filled with the tale of time. To the cowards who've now taken refuge to hide, there is a code of honor to which we abide. To avenge the great losses of innocence applied, by the enemy with nothing but yellow inside. To the guardians of peace who will go out and try, to seek out the wrongdoers and do what is right. We look to now with your heads still held high, we'll pray for you all, every day, every night. To those who are still wondering, asking why, there are no good answers to what went awry. But remember the day, be assured we will fight, although in darkness there again will be light. It is now the time for our family to unite, and pray for the lives of the souls now in flight. But still assured that no matter the plight, with all our prayers we will live on in spite. We will reach up to the heavens no matter the height, and with God as our shepherd we shall live on tonight. Andy W. |
The Day The Nation Cried America is a sign of freedom For all the world to see Someone tried to take that Away that never will be Pain and fear is what we feel Across the nation today Our hearts weep for those lost On this splendid day Innocent lives lost forever Taken without warning From all of those that loved them On this glorious morning As the numbers rise Never forget that each had a name A life that's lost not forgotten Has an eternal flame The world was to be at peace If only but for a day Instead she sits & softly cries On this mournful day WE WILL NEVER FORGET....THE DAY THE NATION CRIED GODSPEED BE WITH YOU ALL Traci C. Don't Cry Don't come to my grave, And sit and cry; For I am not here, I did not die; I laid this body to rest, For it was time for me to go; To a much better place, And this we all know; So hold your head up proud, Don't let it hang in sorrow; Try not to think of yesterday, But look forward to tomorrow; For each day that passes by, Is one less day we'll be apart; My love for you will fill your heart Michael Spell |
Out of all the stories of those lost, there is one incredible story of survival. On the day of the attacks Lauren Manning was headed for work as all the events were taking place. Lauren is a fighter not only for life but for her family and country. She is a miracle! Lauren was burned over 85 % of her body, and only given a 10 % chance of surviving. She is with her family and is a fighter, not willing to let those responsible be the victor in taking her life, for this she is here with us today ! |
