One whole year! It hardly seems like there had been time for her to be so big. She just smiled last week and rolled over yesterday; yet here she is, her first birthday party. Of course I had to plan everything BIG! I invited both sides of the family, and that means at least one hundred people, not to mention my friends and friends of the family who must be there. who won't even remember had got to look and sound ridiculous, but I've done it. When you have a baby you do things you thought you would never do, like pay $25 for overalls that she will wear one month just because she looks cute in them, (not because she actually needs another pair.) |

I discovered the best catalogue while party planning and it has everything. (Link provided below.) I also used E-Mail to send invitations and it is really saving on postage and and the cost of invitations. Presents is the tricky part. With all these people I don't think I could get everything home in one trip, and I drive a van. Second, I don't have room in the house for that much stuff. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the load of presents she got for Christmas and when she was born. So I kindly emphasized that gifts were optional and to please keep them simple. I am writing this two weeks and three days before her actual party. Updates will be added as soon as I get the mess cleaned up after March 3, 4, & 5. |
