Wow, what can I say about Anna? Anna Banana, as she is affectionately called by her friends, is a trip. She has a wonderful personality and an infectious, but sometimes strange, laugh. I can't remember one time where I was ever angry with her (okay, maybe exasperated once or twice ;p ). Anna and I never did tons and tons of things together but we have so many inside jokes and stories, many of which are completely retarded. I was introduced to her and Lynn thru my friend Hong the first couple of days of 10th grade. When I first met Anna she had this mouth full of metal and beautiful full lips, so they kinda stuck out. A year or so later Hongee and I went with her to the orthodontist and sat next to Anna's chair while her braces were being removed, which was pretty cool. I had always thought Annagrace looked like a lot like Anne from Road Rules and Pam from the Real World--San Francisco season. Oh, and that lady Seven from one of the Star Trek series (what's her name?). Anna doesn't think she looks like any of them at all. I think that Anna and I had the best time together when we went to all the football games during high school: Vernon's mom; joking on Glen & all the constant drama with him; the Bear; the Poway game (getting lost, almost getting in free, etc.); making fun of the cheerleaders; singing the fight song and pissing off the people around us; the bumblebee girls and, of course, the Nuts and Bolts guy!! Lean to the left, lean to the right, stand up sit down, fight fight fight!! Weeeee'rrreee gonnnaaaa wiiiinnnnnnn...... Can't forget the Xena call. Remember who taught you that, girl! =) And who can forget about Tracy's surprise birthday party. I cannot believe we ever pulled that off! "Oh Tracy, I've got this big plankton project due for Oceanography but Anna can't help me because she has a dentist appointment. Will you go to the library with me and help me get started?" Heh, heh.... Then there was Dumb and Dumber with Hongee (come over here and we could build a snowman), getting made up by your mother ("natural girl", huh?), me doing a terrible job braiding your hair while watching the MTV Movie Awards (remember what happened when a clip of "Bound" was shown? LOL), Senior Harbor Cruise, Halloween after we graduated from high school, copping a feel those couple of times (I swear I didn't it on purpose. You just need to watch where you're pointing those things!), and going to La Jolla to look at the sea lions and walking all the way down to Tourmaline to check out at the surfers and play with the animals in the tide pools. And, of course, me falling asleep at La Jolla Cove for an hour in the sun, resulting in second-degree sunburn on my legs. Ouch!! I'm such a dumbass. Anna Banana is that special kind of person that everybody just seems to gravitate to because of their good humor and lovable personality. You can't help but love 'em. She has the biggest heart and is always willing to drop whatever it is that she's doing to help somebody out. Whether it be volunteering at the annual Earth Day festival in Balboa Park every year or working with disabled children, Anna proves time and time again what the true meaning of being a human being is all about. I thank God/Allah/the Creator/whatever all the time that I am able to call her "Friend". Chum chum chum..... Hey Anna, got any poo? Ah like it uh lot. |
