To get some nice animations saved to your hard drive for later use on your new website, you can copy and paste them from anywhere on the WWW. Help yourself to the animations at Spike's Place by Clicking HERE!
I keep a folder on my desktop just for the things I find on the 'net that I want to save...
Below is an animation of Homer you can practice on... Here's what you do.
Right click on Homer and select "Save Picture As" or the equivalent in your browser. A box will open, and give you a choice of where you want him saved. I always save to the desktop. Later, you can file him away... Click on the desktop so it is in the address window, then click "ok" or Save. Homer is now saved to your desktop.
You can create a New Folder on your desktop by right clicking anywhere on the desktop, and selecting "Create New Folder". Then literally left click and HOLD on Homie while you drag him over the New Folder and release him. He's now tucked out of site for future use. If you didn't Name your new folder when you created it, right click on it, and select Rename, and give your folder a name. Surf the web and save animations, and backgrounds and drag them to your new folder. The next lesson will help you with saving MUSIC, and we will UPLOAD our files for use in our new website!
Here's Homer, give it a whirl, it's easy: |
