Currently Passions is re-casting the role of Ethan Winthrop and one of the possiblities is Neve Campbell's older brother Christian Campbell.
Casting has rumored to begun for a young woman in her late teens that looks like Kim Johnson Ulrich (Ivy). Possibly one of the MIA Crane daughters.
Theresa keeps her possition at Mrs. Crane by telling Alister he can mold her child into a powerful businessman.
A skull is found in a mixer at the cannery!
Miguel, Pilar, and Luis move into the Crane Mansion and Paloma returns to Harmony when Theresa realizes that they can take care of her now.
There's a rumor that Christopher DeLisle (ex-Chuck Wilson) may be joining the cast down the line to be involved in Theresa's storyline. This would make sense considering that silly conversation he and Theresa had over the videophone, otherwise there would be no reason for the call. However, Christopher has been spotted on The Bold and the Beautiful in a bit part recently (see the Cast Sightings section for more details), so who knows.
Rumor has it that Julian may fake his own death and frame Ivy for his murder when the "truth" comes out about Ethan. Whether or not Ethan is really a Crane or a Bennett is still anybody's guess.
Rumors have been circulating the internet for awhile that several actors have been testing for the role of Alistair. Sources say that when Alistair does return to Harmony, he may have a wife in tow. Also, the ghost of the late Mrs. Crane may surface in Harmony.
From XoBabyDolloX: Ethan will finally follow Julian's advice and have an affair with Theresa. Of course Theresa will claim to be pregnant, forcing Gwen to decide whether she really wants to be with Ethan after all. This is a typical soap device, to be sure, but will it happen? I don't know, but given Ethan's high moral standards he'd have to fall pretty far to cheat on Gwen and then hide it from her just for the fun of it.
From Maria: Rumor has it that Ethan will pull a Ross at his wedding to Gwen -- a Ross Gellar, that is. Supposedly he'll say Theresa's name during his vows by mistake, leaving Gwen to decide whether she can still marry him after this latest humiliation. This idea is actually not that far-fetched. After all, it wouldn't be the first time Ethan whispered Theresa's name during a tender moment with Gwen.
From a Passions board: Reportedly, Donald May and David Hedison have tested for the role of Alistair Crane. May is known best as The Edge of Night's Adam Drake, while Hedison was Another World's Spencer Harrison.
From Kelly: Faith has another daughter named Melissa. She'll become the "new Kay" as she tries to take Miguel away from Charity. Like Miguel needs more women after him! Why doesn't anybody go for Reese?
From Rebecca: Rumor has it online that Hank will kidnap Sheridan. Also, it's rumored that Sheridan will be moving out of the cottage and searching for her first job.
From Krysta: Alert viewer Krysta reports that Ivy will tell Sam that Ethan is his son to win him over. She'll swear him to secrecy to protect Ethan but Julian will overhear the conversation. Personally I think this Ethan's paternity business will drag out for a long time, but you never know. Wouldn't it be cool if Ethan and everyone else thought he was a Bennett but in the end he turned out to be a Crane after all?
One of the soap magazines (I forget which) reports that Gwen's parents may make an appearance at this summer's wedding festivities. I should hope so, considering how long they've been planning for the event! Since it's a long way off there's no word yet on any casting plans, but rumor has it that Susan Lucci is being considered for a cameo as Mrs. Hotchkiss. Since she is Liza Huber's (Gwen) real-life mom that would be almost as cute as Tabitha's references to Pollyanna (starring her sister Hayley Mills) and Nanny and the Professor (starring Juliet Mills herself as Nanny).
This just in: rumor has it that we'll be seeing a relative of Reese's in Harmony sometime soon. If this rumor is indeed true (which it probably isn't because it's been spread before without any merit) the part won't be portrayed by Ryan Gessell, the male Online Casting Call winner. He'll be playing a rescuer at the ski lodge during April's avalanche.
Some speculation says that production of the show will move to NBC studios when the contract at the CBS studio in which they currently film expires. Judging from the fates of the last two shows to film in the studio in question (Sunset Beach, Santa Barbara), however, I hope the rumors are false. Then again, maybe the studio's not really cursed and the third time's the charm. Either way if they move I hope all the cast and crew burn some sage in their dressing rooms and on set the first day. Hey, it couldn't hurt and it might just help.
