Snopsis:

Now in her twenties, Anne returns to Avonlea for the first time
since Marilla Cuthbert's death. Gilbert has been offered a staff
position at a hospital in New York, and persuades Anne to come
as he has arranged a position for her at a large publishing
house. Big City life isn’t what they expected. Anne’s manuscript
is stolen by a dashing American writer, Jack Garrison, and
Gilbert becomes frustrated with the politics of working in a
large city hospital.Gilbert descides to go home to
Avonlea so that they can be married and put their horrible
experiences behind them.

When they return to Prince Edward Island, they are catapulted
into the middle of wartime society. Gilbert soon feels the
pressure from the community and enlists as a medical officer.

Anne’s hopes are shattered when Gilbert is listed as missing
in action, which takes her on a cross-Atlantic search for him,
as the fury of war is unleashed around her.

A bizarre twist of fate reunites Anne with Jack Garrison, now
working as a war correspondent. He is traveling with a young
French girl, Colette, and their baby son, Dominic. Colette is
killed during an attack on their field hospital. Anne learns
of Jack’s role in an American intelligence effort to end the
war. Her affiliation with him lures her into a web of intrigue
in exchange for help in finding her husband. Jack falls through
on his promises.

As the war comes to a close, Anne searches for Gilbert far
behind enemy lines in a German POW camp. She finds herself
alone, as stranger in a strange land, separated from the man she
loves. Will Anne Shirley rise to the occasion? Will she be
reunited with Gilbert? Will she every return to Green Gables? Is
a family in the future for Anne Shirley? Watch for Anne of
Green Gables: The Continuing Story on late in 1999 on CBC.

Anne of Green Gables Part 3, Road to Avonlea Reunion and
Animated Anne Series

Sullivan Entertainment embarks on a slate of Avonlea revival
programs including Happy Christmas, Miss King, Anne of Green
Gables: The Continuing Story and Anne of Green Gables: The
Animated Series. Principal photography started on Sunday,
May 3, 1998.

Happy Christmas, Miss King was a movie-of-the-week was scheduled for
CBC broadcast, Christmas of ‘98 and is based on the critically-
acclaimed series, Road to Avonlea. This enduring saga lasted
seven seasons on the CBC Television network, and aired its
finale episode, "So Dear To My Heart" on March of 1996 to over
two million viewers.

Happy Christmas, Miss King is set in 1914 during World War I.
The King family reunites for its traditional Christmas dinner
led by the indomitable Hetty King (Jackie Burroughs). Still
teaching at Avonlea school, she is rehearsing the choir for its
annual Christmas concert and goes to great lengths to secure a
big name to headline the event. Holiday spirits are dampened by
the fact that Felix is ‘missing in action’ and tragedies have
hit the Avonlea community.

"Avonlea and Green Gables don’t seem to have lost their allure.
People are still writing in with their questions, comments and
suggestions on where they hope the stories will go," says Kevin
Sullivan, Executive Producer. "And of course, travel to Prince
Edward Island has reached renewed highs over the past several
years with people wanting to visit places where the shows were
shot outside of Ontario. We wanted to give something back to the
fans who have claimed this world as their own."

Says Trudy Grant, co-Executive Producer, "We’re buoyed by the
fact that the popularity of Avonlea and Green Gables has
endured. It shows that people appreciate and want quality,
family programming."

Sullivan Entertainment is also in production on an animated
series, Anne of Green Gables, based on the original miniseries.
The production is sharing two broadcast windows with major
American broadcasters.

Sullivan Entertainment is one of Canada’s leading producers of
high quality, family entertainment.

When further information becomes available I will post it here.
So keep checking back!! :)

ATTENTION Road to Avonlea Fans
Sullivan Entertainment has also aired and is now available on video

Kim Yu,
a spokeswoman with Sullivan Entertainment, says principal
photography will be done on the production company's studio
near Toronto. She did not know if there would be any shooting
done on Prince Edward Island, where Lucy Maud Montgomery's
enduring Anne of Green Gables is rooted.
