Attached is a picture of my computer desk. This
is where I write to all my friends at scrapals. To the right of the
desk is all my quilting idea books. When I get a magazine I make
a copy of the patterns i like and then stick them into those binders.
To the left behind the tissues are Y2K fabrics. There is 2,000 squares
of fabric to make a Y2K quilt. I swapped with 80 people around the
world to get all those squares. Now if only I had the time to put it together.
I use a folding table to do all my scrapping on.
At one end of the table is my sewing machine and at the other end is a
cutting mat. Since I cut all my photos
using a rotary cutter the mat is convenient for both
of my hobbies (quilting and scrapbooking). On the wall behind my
table is a quilt I did by hand. Under
the table I have a rolling cart which has my solid card
stock papers in it.
This is my 2 draw file cabinet. I store all my
scrapbook stuff in bottom draw and quilting in top draw. I have folders
in there for different events and holidays. I stapled a zip lock
bag in each file and that is where I put the stickers, die cuts, etc.
pertaining to that category. Such as Christmas.
I have all my paper piece patterns, papers, die cuts, stickers all in one
folder and when I'm ready to do a
Christmas page I just grab the folder out. This
works great for when you are going to crops as you don't have to lug all
your supplies just that folder. Above
the file cabinet I have containers filled with rubber
stamps, punchies above that to the right are books in progress and to the
left is a container which stores
my stuff I hardly use or extra stuff such as extra glues,
extra photo splits, etc.
I bought this container at the $1 store. I always
keep it on top of my table. I store my regular scissors, my photo
splits, oval and circle cutters, corner rounder, glue sticks etc.
These are the tools I use all the time. The container has 3 compartments
which makes it easy to keep things sorted.
I store my pens in the markers in motion case. It is
great as it rolls up and you can put it into your crop and go bag for when
you go cropping.
I don't have that many scissors but the ones i do have
I store them in this basket. Recently I have started to use them
but for a while they were just taking up
space.
