National Postcard Week
National Postcard Week 2003 is May 4-10 and what better way to celebrate then by sending a card to someone! Why not take time this week to make up some postcards (real) and mail them to friends you haven't been in touch with lately.

Since 1983 Postcard
collectors around the world have celebrated National Postcard Week (NPCW) during
the first full week of May.
National Postcard Week is formally celebrated both in the UK and in the USA,
both countries in the same week. It is hoped for the future that, as more
countries join in National Postcard Week it may well someday become
International Postcard Week. With the growth of the Internet the possibility is
becoming very real.

During NPCW people make their own postcards. There are many ways to do your cards. Myself I use Microsoft Picture-It, but other programs will work just as well. Other people have cards that are handmade such as cross-stitched, hand drawn and scanned, stampers, etc. Over the years I have collected so many beautiful cards. If you don't have the programs, materials, or other things you need you can always have your cards printed for you (which I think can be quite costly). I not only enjoy receiving them but I love the fun of making them myself! _________________________________
Here are a few of the NPCW cards I've received in past years. They are so pretty and creative. Hopefully these may give some ideas to those of you that have never made a NPCW card before. Also maybe those of you that don't do it may change your mind and start! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do! Have fun!
