Linda McCartney was an extraordinary person, who under constant media scrutiny from the beginning, managed to thrive, fascinate and create an identity separate from just being "Paul McCartney's wife."

Her never ending fight for animal rights and vegetarianism is an immense inspiration for myself and many others. Linda helped pave the way to ending the horrid abuses that animals have had to endure. She did all of this in the face of those who mocked and ridiculed her for her beliefs. But through it all she never wavered.

The world has suffered a great loss in the passing of Linda.

Although she and Paul were wealthy beyond belief, she liked the simple things; her children, animals, nature and living a clean life. She was so sincere and possessed such a caring, thoughtful heart. She was truly one of a kind.

Linda vowed to keep fighting for animals until the end, she fulfilled her promise and has left an amazing, exceptional legacy.

All the animals mourn your passing, but our hearts fill with happiness when we think of your loving ways. Thank you for not giving in or taking back. Thank you for being real and not being afraid to let everyone know. If only there were more people in this world who were willing to fight and not retreat, as you did.

Don't just mourn the loss of Linda, take up the fight and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. "Go veggie," that was her message until the end and I can't think of a more appropriate tribute.
