Poetry

by Sarah Gardner

This poem was originaly written for my friend to use as her own for an english class.

What once was will never be
What once was will never be
I made a choice why can't you see
She was raped by a friend
a shoulder I thought I would lend
She is hurt more than you see
still you just won't let her be
All of this ruined us
I took her side, you made a fuss
Through all of this I learned a lot
a special lesson I was taught
I deserve to speak my mind
you have no right to be unkind
It's to bad you don't see whats true
I feel so very bad for you
The truth is right infront of your eyes
but all you hear are his dumb lies
Our friendships are all totally lost
now I see what freedon costs
So now I have begun to see
what once was will never be
