Words Of Wisdom

This is true suffering. This is true source.
This is true cessation. This is true path.

Know the suffering. Abandon the source.
Attain the cessation. Meditate on the path.

Know the suffering then there is nothing more to know.
Abandon the source then there is nothing more to abandon.
Attain the cessation then there is nothing more to attain.
Meditate on the path then there is nothing more to meditate on.
- Guru Shakyamuni Buddha in the Four Noble Truths Wheel of Dharma Sutra

Because we share this small planet earth, we have to learn to live in harmony and peace with each other and with nature. That is not just a dream but a necessity. . We are dependent on each other in so many ways that we can no longer live in isolated communities and ignore what is happening outside those communities. We need to help each other when we have difficulties and we must share the good fortune that we enjoy. I speak to you as just another human being; as a simple monk. If you find what I say useful, then I hope you will try and practice it.
- His Holiness - The Dalai Lama- 1989

The fragrance always remains in the hand that gives the rose. - Mahatma Ghandi
We must be the change we wish to see in the world. - Mahatma Ghandi

It is not how much you do, but how much love you put into the action. - Mother Theresa

Reflections of Spirit...
Do you see difficulty in every opportunity or opportunity in every difficulty? The intention that we bring to life determines the seeds that we grow. Every aspect of our life becomes an imprint.
Wisdom is timeless, it is never restricted.
Spiritual growth is a process of subtraction.
Let your words heal rather than wound.
I am willing to know.
When you search for me you will find me when you search wholeheartedly for me, I shall let you find me.
Jeremiah 29:13

If there is Light in the soul,
There will be beauty in the person.
If there is beauty in the person,
There will be harmony in the house.
If there is harmony in the house,
There will be order in the Nation.
If there is order in the Nation,
There will be Peace in the World!
- Chinese Proverb

May beings all live happily and safe
and may their hearts rejoice within themselves.
Whatever there may be with breath of life,
Whether they be frail or very strong,
Without exception, be they long or short
Or middle-sized, or be they big or small,
Or thick, or visible, or invisible,
Or whether they dwell far or dwell near,
Those that are here, those seeking to exist,
May beings all rejoice within themselves.
--The Buddha, Sutta Nipata

"At birth a person is soft and yielding, and at death stiff and hard. All beings, the grass, the trees: alive, soft and yielding; dead, stiff and hard. Therefore the hard and inflexible are friends to death. The soft and yielding are friends of life. An unyielding army is destroyed. An unbending tree breaks. The hard must humble itself or be otherwise humbled. The soft will ultimately ascend."
Lao Tzu
Tao Te Ching #76
