to get her


she praises him like a king
on a pedestal for all to see
strong and tall with eyes of blue
he speaks of her adoringly

his words are music to her ears
his tears are like a tragedy
his touch is like a rich man's bliss
for him she speaks silent poetry

she has no idea about herself
he makes her second-guess the stars
but she loves him whole-heartedly
a love that melts her candy bar.
