"The chapters of my life as they unfold
Are right before your eyes, if you'll behold!"

Yes, I have a purpose today - to prepare for the first day of school tomorrow! :)

For whatever reason I can't fathom, I called my ex today. I guess I do miss him. Afterall, I've shared almost ten years of my life with him. I guess he has forgotten the times we've shared by now, or he chooses to put up that front, but anyway, he already has a girlfriend and maybe, I'm just having this 'grass is always greener on the other side' syndrome. I think that girl has a lot to thank me for because I did change him a lot for the better... and now, she reaps all the benefits. :~( sigh. Oh well, I dumped him so why am I missing him now? sigh. Women! *rolls eyes* :P

So anyway, I called him, he turned out to need some help on his PC so I went over and visited my cats as well. Suzy was out checking out her neighbourhood but Meiji was around. Oh, I miss my cats so much! I hope that my ex would be able to take care of Suzy and Meiji till I can afford my own apartment once more then, I can have them back again and I'll take good care of them in their old age. :) Gee... this is just like joint custody! hehehe!

Well, I miss Marcus too but too bad he's been given to a couple I don't even know (my vet helped to arrange the adoption). I miss Marcus like crazy and before I had to give him away, I took tons of photos of him that I still gaze at now and then. I try not to think of him too much but when I do, I always end up crying because not being able to be with my three cats is really a painful thing for me. I still pray that they'll live good, long lives to a ripe old age, healthy and well-fed. :)

I came home about two hours later and plunged straight into working on my time-table. I did a really fantastic job of it in Excel *boast*. :) One of the things I miss about the corporate world is the challenge on my PC skills. I do have pretty good PC software application skills and I used to take a lot of pride in being able to churn out great work fast. :) Well, it's comforting to know that I still have it in me! Who knows, I might be a Nursing Administrator someday and these skills just might come in useful. ;)

I packed my schoolbag... AGAIN and throughout the day, I checked it a few more times. Anxiety attack? The last time I had a 'back to school' day was what... 8 years ago, so maybe, I've forgotten how thrilling it is!
