Hi! My name is Ann and this is my family. Way in the back is my husband Ed and our oldest daughter Melissa. In the front is Brittany and Josh. Josh was 6 when he was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma in September 1997. His tumor was completely removed in surgery. He then completed 6 weeks of radiation and now has to undergo 8 cycles of cisplatin, vincristine and ccnu. We should finish this protocol mid December 1998. Josh has tolerated treatment very well so far and all MRI's remain clear. Melissa is 11 and begins junior high this year so she will have a few adjustments to make. She is such a tender heart and cares for everyone so deeply. She loves softball, volleyball, the clarinet and to do arts and crafts. Brittany is 10 and now a fifth grader. She is a math whiz and is one of the most competitive kids I know. She likes swimming, volleyball, sewing and riding her bike. Josh is now 7 and a second grader this year. He likes to read, ride his bike and and do anything dangerous. I feel he is destined to be a comic someday. His one liners are the best. He is why we make it through treatment. He rarely complains or questions all the life style changes he has made and just goes on knowing this is what he has to do. Both our daughters have been very understanding of their brothers needs. I could not have asked for better kids. They all have been wonderful. I am 38 and I am a nurse. My husband is 39 and a telecommunication specialist. We have been married for 16 short years. We have a great time together. We have become a team to end this demon that has crept into our perfect life. Josh looking "cool"! All of us
