My family

Hi! I'm Lisa and this is my family. I've been married to Jim for almost 10 years (Boy does time fly when you're having fun!--He is the best!---always laughing, never too serious--he's really helped me to "lighten" up over the years. I wouldn't trade him for the world!) I have 4 children. Drew will be 16 in June (OIY!--okay, in all fairness, he's a pretty great kid! He can fix anything, and is my biggest defender!), Meghan is 8 (she's very friendly, outgoing and driven--oh, and she's my best shopping buddy--boy do we get in trouble together!), Jimmy is 6 1/2(always my boy--I call him the "best hugger in the world". He's a very private person, except with me. Very affectionate!--and he's very intelligent), and Rebecca is 3 (Little Miss Moody--but she keeps me laughing, too. I tell everyone she has "last baby syndrome""--spoiled rotten!) We also have an incredibly friendly, incredibly furry Keeshond dog named T.J. He's our sweetie!

Meghan was diagnosed with Early Pre-B, High Risk ALL on Labor Day weekend, 1994. She was just over 3 1/2 years old at the time. Prior to dx she was the healthiest child I've ever seen. She still rarely catches what the rest of us do. She doesn't mess around with the little stuff. :) Anyway, she had a double-lumen Broviac catheter and received cranial radiation and lots of chemo here in Columbus, Ohio (The best doctors and nurses in the world!--IMHO) Overall, she did very well throughout her treatments. She took her last pill on Thanksgiving Day, 1996 (HOORAY!!!), and she has been doing great ever since. She currently returns to the clinic for check up every 3 months. She is in the second grade now. She loves school, Brownies, gymnastics, and life in general. She is my little hero!
