Maren, Tabi & CJ -Disney World 3/99

Hi! My name is Maren and I live in Frederick MD, with my husband, Frank and our two beautiful children, Tabi & CJ; our 2 cats (Freddy & Pinky), and our sweet little Sheltie - Margo.

Tabi, our first born, is 19. She was born 5 weeks premature with alot of health problems, but today is the picture of health. She is a sweet, active, very intelligent girl - who was reading & writing before Kindergarten! She is also extremely headstrong and is a "Daddy's Girl". She is definitely a leader - we just never know what Tabi is going to do next! She loves her brother tremendously and has remained faithfully by his side. Tabi is currently enrolled at a local community college and working 2 part time jobs.

CJ, our youngest, will be 16 on Christmas Eve. After a very difficult, hi-risk pregnancy he was born very healthy and very happy. CJ is a very easy-going, fun loving little boy. Always smiling - and always willing to help others. Never did we imagine that our world would be turned upside down like it was on August 2, 1996 - when we were told CJ had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. CJ has fought this battle so courageously and we are so very proud of him. Even during the beginning of his treatment protocol when things were very tough on him - he would always manage to make me laugh! What a prankster! CJ's treatment ended on February 4, 1999 and he is still going to the Hospital once every two months for check ups.

CJ has been playing soccer for 10 years, 5 of which have been at a very competitive level. He is well known with coaches & parents for his determination and energy, and his "never give up" attitude. CJ also enjoys playing basketball. CJ is currently in the 11th grade, he is an all honors student and is hoping to attend a local University and go into Pre-Med. He enjoys riding his bike, spending time with friends and family, and playing video games. But most of all he lives every day to the fullest, and we are so very thankful that he is still here with us.
