Thanksgiving is always portrayed with pictures of Pilgrims and Native Americans, but its origin comes way before that.
The Native people of America have held ceremonies to give thanks for centuries. In fact, whether it be an animal they hunted, fish they caught or plants they harvested, they always gave, and still do, thanks to the creator and to the spirit of the animal.
Since the beginning of time, Thanksgiving feasts were also held by various cultures giving thanks at harvest time. Oftentimes they would last for three days.

But no matter the origin, or when you celebrate it, its good to set aside a day to offer special thanks.
Thanksgiving dinner is always at my house. I love doing all the cooking and entertaining. I love when the whole family gets together and can just enjoy a meal and stop and be reminded for all they are thankful for.
