John and I were married on August 4th 1995, the ceremony and reception
were held at the Embassy Suite Hotel in California. We had actually had two weddings, one
was held on the Saturday August the 3rd, in a Buddhist temple owned by John's
Grandparents, a reception immediately following in his grandparents home. It was very
different and exciting to be able to celebrate our wedding two very unique ways. I got to
wear a traditional Vietnamese wedding dress and a classic white dress also. As you can see
on the picture below,I am wearing a traditional Vietnamese bride necklace, made of solid
gold. It was a gift from my parent in laws.
