Mom had a party for her eighty sixth birthday. She had lots of guests. Seven were children and four were adults including myself. Her home attendant came with her duaghters and then her friend invited herself and her three sons. It was a good party but exhausting.
Most importantly it had food. Haitian cake, Haitian fish cakes(well really meat), ice cream, jelly beans, chips, dipsy doodles, the kind of party mom loves.
Boy was her attendant's husband surprised when he openned what he thought was a special cake and it was for ERICK. While he was out returning it, we discovered the fish cakes were actually meat and once again he was cheated. Twice in one day. However he could not return them because mom had eaten one. Actually she was quite happy to eat everything in front of her. So we moved into the living room and the kids played with the jigsaw puzzle I had bought for mom. She enjoyed watching them.
I used up one of those disposable cameras and started with a second one. I cannot wait to see those photos and to frame one or two.
Mom had a great deal of stimulation that day, she had day care, a long walk with her home attendant and then the party. No wonder she was ready for bed early and slept through the night.
