God's Plan for Your Life
God created man, both male and female, in His image, and desired to fellowship with him.  The first man and woman, Adam and Eve, talked with God face to face and walked with Him in the garden.  But man allowed himself to be deceived into eating the forbiddend fruit -- the only thing on the earth that God had forbidden the man to eat.  Through this act sin entered into the world, separating man from God.  From that point on, each person born into the world has this sin nature passed upon him.  It is not anything we have done, but merely being born into this world.  God, however, loves us as His children and would not have us to be separated from him.  So He sent  His only begotten Son into the world to die for us and provide a way that we can be reunited with Him for all eternity.  Through Jesus Christ, God's Son, we become children of God and heirs to the Heavenly Kingdom.  God does not condemn us to eternal punishment and separation from Him, we condemn ourselves by refusing to recognize what His Son did for us on the cross and our need of His sacrifice on our behalf.

God's Plan of Salvation
We must recognize who Christ is -- Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us, Matthew 1:23.  Christ was God's only begotten son, born of a virgin through the Holy Ghost.  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin, Hebrews 4:15.  Christ was faced with sin, like we are, but did not fall.  He was perfect and sinless.  Because of this, he was the only one who could offer the sacrifice required for our sin.
We must recognize our need of Christ -- For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23.  Through Adam's disobedience, sin has fallen upon the entire human race.  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, Romans 6:23.   Because of our inherited sin nature we are faced with eternal death and separation from God.  But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind have taken us away, Isaiah 64:6.  Our best is not good enough to win God's favour, for all the good things we do will never measure up.  So God provided a way for us.
We must accept what Christ did for us -- How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:3b, 4.  When Adam brought sin into the world, God established a sacrifice so that Adam could show obedience and repentence of his sin.  These sacrifices pointed to the ultimate sacrifice which would release us from this practice.  Christ was that sacrifice.  He died on a cross, was buried in a tomb, and rose again on the third day to provide us with victory over the grave.
We must call upon Christ -- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine 'heart' that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved, Romans 10:9.  You must believe that Christ died for you, then call upon him to obtain your salvation from eternal death and separation from God.  It is that simple.  God loves you.  He made his plan of salvation simple enough that anyone could claim it because He wants everyone to join Him for eternity.  God does not condemn anyone to hell, we condemn ourselves when we refuse to accept the payment that Christ made for our sins.  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast, Ephesians 2:8, 9.  There is nothing that we can do to earn our salvation.  God is presenting it to you, and all you have to do is reach out and accept it.
Below is a sample prayer for salvation.  There is nothing in these words that are magical or mysterious.  They have no power in themselves -- it is what is in your heart when you say them.  You don't have to pray these exact words, you can say your own prayer.  Use this as a guide if you wish.

Dear Lord,
I see now that I am a sinner.  I believe that you sent your Son to suffer and die especially for me on that cross in order to pay for my sins.  I believe that he rose again the third day, giving me victory over death, and that it is only through Him that I may obtain salvation.  I call upon His name now, and claim the gift of eternal life.  Please forgive me of my sins and make me your child.
In Jesus name, Amen.

We can know for sure that God has saved us -- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9.  If we admit our sinfulness and call upon Christ, we will be forgiven and given eternal life.
