Bits and Pieces of Hage History

I have little knowledge of the Hage family History what I know is that Sivert A. Hoag abt 1864 in Norway came to America in abt. 1903 with his family. Included were his wife Anna Lorentson abt. 1862 in Sweden and there son Alfred Leander was born abt. 1893 in Sweden. The Hoag name was changed to Hage however I do not believe that this was a legal name change it has been said that when the children started school in America and were asked there last name the teacher wrote it as Hage and it has been that way ever since. Most of our immediate family members are in Northern Minnesota to this day or in the bordering states.
