I got my first tattoo in Rhode Island when I was 17. It is a small five point star that still lays upon my stomach. I was a dancer at the time using the name "Starr" and it just seemed to fit. Of course back then it was still a bit risque for a womin to have a tatt.
Thirteen years later in rebellion of a bad marriage and a wandering husband, I went under the gun again. This time I opted for a small pair of golden shears on my ankle, I was a cosmetologist at the time.
A little less than a year later just before leaving my ex-husband I began a life changing journey that continues to this day.
I am now approximately 35% covered with some of the most beautiful art I've ever seen and have been blessed in finding artists that are among the best in the country. Needless to say I'm not done yet!
My arms are a work in progress, the artist being Eric Mercier of Lucky Buddha in Wilmington, Delaware. My back piece was created by Wizard of Wizard and Co. in Claymont, Delaware. I also have smaller pieces that were done by various artists at different tattoo conventions I have attended over the years.
