They are a pair of siblings who bicker over anything .
Sadly now as they near middle age they have developed cataracts .
They seem to be managing well despite their slow loss of sight and are active .
Often at night I hear the whriiiiiiiiiiiiilll of their wheel as they take it in turns to run .
Some people think Sweetheart was heaven sent to replace Tim .
She too turned out to be a regular seed spitter . Like Tim she would make herself comfortable on my DD's lap start grooming and within minutes the seeds from her personal pantry would make an appearance .
Along with that too we discovered that rodents not only ate poop they also stored them !

Darling died today .
For afew days now she had been listless and we thought it was the heat wave . She was otherwise going about her business as normal
This morning my DD reported that Darlings chest was wet and she was making bird like noises .
I put her in a critter carrier with toilet ,food /water and started to make arrangements for baby sitting so that I could get her to the vet . I stroked her as she laid down .
She died so suddenly that I didnt even make it out of the house .
She just squeeked , looked at me and died a minute or two later . I will miss her

IM sad to announce that Sweetheart passed on today . Recently she was discovered to have been infected with a fungus. This was despite my cleaning her tub very often sometimes afew times a week and wiping up her pee regularly if she peed illegally .
Sad to say when I returned from the hospital where I had gone for a check up and to sign the papers for my surgery next week , I discovered that she had passed on .
