Find a place at Places from MIT! Personally, I choose Utica, NY. Visit Karen's Utica Page

Besides being obsessed with places named Utica, I also have a certain affinity for going to the highest point of each state. As a child, I memorized them and was determined to visit each one! Due to many circumstances, I hadn't accomplished even one until 1995 Mt Mitchell, NC (6,684 feet). But now I am well on my way to getting them ALL! My awesome friend typed them all up for me here: Matt's High Points. Space restrictions preclude me from denoting all my conquests, but here's one or two. I'll rotate them every month or so! Here's me at the high point of ALABAMA, which I always thought was 2,405 feet!
Here I am again at the high point of GEORGIA at 4,784 feet
Here's the the high point of IOWA! (I had to walk through a field to get to the actual point- 1,670 feet)

Another, more banal, endeavor is to have photos of me at state borders. I have fulfilled so many of my dreams in the two years since I left my abusive husband. God, he never let me do anything I wanted to! Thanks B for all the encouragement :)
I'm working on this but for now here is:
me and B in South Dakota!... Texas!... Arkansas!... Missouri!... Kansas!...Indian Territory... Oklahoma!... On the Oregon Trail!... Wyoming!... Montana!... Idaho!... Washington!... Nevada!... Utah!...
Minnesota!...(and a side trip to my childhood dream of visiting Walnut Grove, MN ...
North Dakota!... And finally New Mexico! My last of the lower 48!!!!...

This is a big deal to a girl from a small town!

I love to visit new places but would never want to live anywhere else than NYC: LGA weather from Intellicast

Very Cool Maps from Mapquest

The Weather Network from our neighbors to the north!

Severe WX from TX A&M !

I LOVE to chase storms! Here's me on an evacuation route.

Here's me at the WX CHANNEL!

Here is a photo of me in Coffeyville KS where the "world's" largest hailstone fell Sep 3, 1970. That is about it from the Spring Tornado Alley trip, but stay tuned for more adventures!
