~ GOD'S GIFT ~

In this world we live
two hearts were existing
knowing love was near
when suddenly God looked down to bring together
man and woman to share
the most wonderous of all mysteries...

To know this love
that few have shared
is indeed a gift
from God and is very rare...

He kept us apart
because the time was not right
we had to learn
be prepared to fight...

If love was shared and hearts bound together
such new meaning life would have
just to live with two hearts beating as one
is yet another mystery as is the sun...

He knew our needs much more than we
He made us wait until we could see
for the sky had been cloudy for many years
in that time both had shed too many tears...

At first God looked and as he thought
remembered the prayers of both who sought
to find someone, Dear God with needs like mine
to be together until the end of time...

And so, He tapped each head with His Cross of Gold
made us as one, to have, to hold.
