In January 1997 Lucy Beckmann and her colleague Carol Bradshaw were asked by the Prince's Trust to provide light classical music whilst Prince Charles visited the trust's premises on Tyneside. The Prince was so captivated by the music that he asked to speak to Lucy and Carol. In the conversation that followed the Prince showed a keen interest in both music and the work of the trust.
