Innocent Ones
All you little lives all the babies I have seen Many of you weren't planned but most answered someone's dream...
My hands bathed your bodies first and put on your first piece of clothing - in two or three days, you're gone from here where you go, what happens next, are things I'm left not knowing.
I saw you in your nativity bare and wailing, so dismayed by your birth! Watched the impression of your family, there; Often pleased (to see them happy) - sometimes hurt...
Did you know, you each have touched my heart in ways, and places, I don't fully understand. All you little humans, souls of innocence - Angels - may your lives know love offered with only gentle hands...
