Love and Light, Foxy~ Tips For Managing StressThese here are tips I have found in research. 1. Accept only your own responsibility in situations. 2. Set realistic expectations for yourself. 3. Focus on the process rather than the results. 4. Focus on success rather than on failures. 5. Develop your own personal definition of success, instead of society's. 6. Be realistic about time expectations and perspectives. 7. Remember, life does have troublesome problems. This is normal. 8. Recognize that you will be criticized more than praised by parents, partners and supervisors. 9. Create variety: Do old things in new ways. 10. Make your work/study area more stimulating: redecorate, add music, change colors. 11. Leave the office/campus for lunch and errands if possible. 12. Learn to be detached from problems. 13. Do paperwork immediately. Don't procrastinate. 14. Ask others for positive feedback. 15. Develop a hobby and spend time on it regularly. 16. Learn and practice sound money management. 17. Don't bring work home with you. 18. Decrease television time. 19. Keep physically fit...good diet and adequate exercise. 20. Avoid exessive use of alcohol and drugs. 21. Spend time in active family activities. My Own RemediesHere are some of my own remedies. Some of these are tips I do myself and some are tips I know will help. 1. Take a long walk on the beach, in the woods or down a country road. 2. Take time out by yourself, and find a spot outdoors to sit, and listen to birds, the sound of the trees blowing in the wind. 3. Call an old friend and get together for a visit. 4. Turn the music up and sing loudly. 5. Read a good book. 6. Turn the music up...dance around the house and sing to your favorite tunes. 7. Light some candles and simmer some potpourri. 8. Take a hot bubble bath. Light candles, lights off. 9. Do something special for a friend. 10. Give someone a hug...Hugs always help. 11. Watch a funny movie with a friend. 12. Sing in the shower. 13. Cry it out if you must. 14. Spend time with your family on an outing. 15. Smile at everyone you see. Here below are some links |
