You have to feel the loss as all NASCAR fans, young and old, Ford, Pontiac, Chevy or Dodge drivers do, when you hear the name ADAM PETTY. My prayers are with the family and friends of Adam. The Pettys' are truly 4 generations of Kings of racing, deep family ties and loving wives! My page is dedicated to them during this trying time and any earnings I make from Dalefan's Galleries for the next 30 days, will be donated to the charity of choice for the Petty Family in honor of Adam and all his accomplishments. Adam was involved in many of his family's charitable activities including the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America, for example, which benefits childrens hospitals. May the Lord Bless us with more young men and women with the qualities that Adam has. May his footsteps be followed by others for all eternity. Please pray for the comfort of the Petty family in this awful time. You may send cards to: Richard Petty and Family Petty Enterprises 311 Branson Mill Road Randleman, NC 27317 - Donations to honor Adam's memory can be sent to: Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America/ Winston Cup Racing Wives Auxiliary 5700 Concord Pkwy S. It may be six or seven years it may be thirty three But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me? He'll bring his charms to gladden you and should his stay be brief, You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief. I cannot promise he will stay since all from earth return, But there are lessons taught down here, I want this child to learn. I've searched this whole world over in search of teachers true And from the throngs that crowd Life's lane I have chosen you. Now will you give him all your love nor think the labor vain? Nor hate Me when I come to call to take him back again? I fancy that, I heard them say Dear Lord, Thy Will be done. For all the joy this child will bring the risk of grief we'll run, We'll shelter him with tenderness we'll love him while we may And for the happiness we have known forever grateful stay. And should the angels call for him much sooner than we planned We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand. |
